One of the nicest places in Pike County is Childs Park - it is a state park off Silver Lake Road / Park Road in Dingmans Ferry. Totally free. Beautiful waterfalls and nice hiking. Not supposed to swim but people do it anyway....
Great place for a picnic (no grills, bring your own) and an afternoon by the water.
