High speed rail rail that can cut travel times in half is one thing, and even then I just don't think there is a need or demand for it here especially for the outrageous cost (a quarter billion dollars!) and that's just the up front cost not including ongoing maintainence cost and personal cost! I read somewhere a while back that they did a study, and the conclusion was TEN PEOPLE would ride this train daily to commute from Scranton for work. Is $500 million dollars+ really worth it? This would be the biggest pork barrel project in modern history! It would be slower then it would take to get to NYC by bus or car. That is like paying $500 million dollars to go back to the horse and buggy after the automobile has surpassed it. Honestly, who is gonna take a train that takes much longer and has various stops as oppossed to a bus or car that doesn't have any of those issues? After the nostalgia factor wheres off... the answer is nobody. They may take this train a few times at first just to "check it out" but after that they will opt for the cheaper, more convenient way. And like I said eirlier the $500 million is just the "projected" up front cost (and we all know by the time it is built it'll be much closer to 1 billion) and all for what? Ten people to commute to NYC daily plus a handful of tourist and daytrippers? What about the maintanence cost? Who pays to maintian the rail? Who pays to replace old trains and engines,Who pays to upgrade the train station? I tink the people in Scranton who support this thing are doing it for all the wrong reasons. They just want to look like "big city" folk come hell or high water, and they don't care if there is no legitimate need, or demand. They just want to say "Hey, look at what we have here in Scranton!" That's it! That is the reasoning as far as I can tell. Scranton isn't a big city, it is a small city and a shrinking city, and if Scranton's train service wasn't able to stay running decades ago when the city was twice the size as it is today...what makes you all think it will succeed today with a much smaller population and competition fron cars and busses? The money that gets p*$$ed away in this country on nonsense is unbelievable! It is pork projects like this that have gotten this country into the mess it is in today. That is why this country is so in debt. Let a charity or a private organization raise the money for this. I won't use it, and I don't want to pay for it!

I was just wondering if facebook consignment shops are popular in your area?
They just really picked up here, and it seems like a good business to be in! Basically people give stuff to these people to sell for them (I have done it) and then the "consignment shop" has albums for each size and gender, and posts a pic and a price, and whoever says they want it first get it! Then they have mass meets like a ...boot sale? lol I think thats what you guys called it before and I was so confused, every 2 weeks, and you just drive up and buy your stuff. I've had someone sell one diaper box of my stuff and I made 60 bucks, so they give you a good chunk of money, and they do all the work selling your old kids, or even adults clothes! Today I got some maternity pants for $8, and some really cute baby clothes for really cheap! Anyways, just was wondering if anyone else does this. No one I know does... |

The Manor is fully furnished. It is 2 stories. It contains 2 one car garages, 3 beds, 3 baths, a game room, multi-purpose room, study, kitchen, breakfast room, dining room, family room, pool, and a covered balcony and porch. There is even room for a home business. The business office is out front and is the only part that is unfurnished.
The house is fully decorated and landscaped as well. It also is well lit at night. This house is ideal for families of around 4 Sims. You MUST get the meshes from Phoenix Phaerie and marvine if you want the doors, windows, and stairs to work. Follow the links in the custom content section. It will only take a second. You need the Georgian door set from Phoenix Phaerie and the spiral stairs from marvine. DO NOT upload my creations to other sites!!! Remember to thank creators for all their hard work. It just takes one click. As always, comments and suggestions are welcome and appreciated. I hope you and your Sims enjoy this Fancy French Manor!!! I have both Shall We Dance and French Manor for sale. They are both exclusive cartridges from the Cricut Circle. Shall We Dance is new and unopened. It is still in its clamshell and that is the way I will ship it. I would like $75 shipped for this cartridge. French Manor is opened, but it has only been used once or twice. It has not been connected to the gypsy. It will also include the rewards points. I would like $70 shipped for this cartridge. If you would like both cartridges, I would take $140 total, shipped. Thank you for looking, |

as i heard this somewhere about gas drilling in susquehanna, According to the lawsuit, all but two of the plaintiffs live along state Route 92 in the township. They reside between 700 and 1,700 feet from the Price No. 1 Well Pad, which is operated by a wholly owned subsidiary of Southwestern Energy Production Co., Houston, Texas. Two other families do not live in the area but state in the suit that they regularly drank contaminated water at the residences of two other families listed as plaintiffs.
The suit claims improper or insufficient cement casings around the Price No. 1 pad allowed industrial waste, including hydraulic fracturing fluid, to enter the wells of the Route 92 residents. Hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, fluid is the mixture of water, sediment and chemicals injected into the ground to create fissures and release the natural gas being extracted from the Marcellus Shale. In the suit, plaintiffs state their water supplies have become contaminated, that they have been exposed to hazardous chemicals, that their property value has been diminished and that they must now pay for water quality testing and for drinking water. One man, Conor Seamons, of New Milford, also became sick, “manifesting neurological symptoms consistent with toxic exposure to, for example, heavy metals,” after repeatedly drinking water at 7572 S.R. 92, South Gibson, the suit further alleges. The suit also claims negligence by Southwestern Energy Production, and that barium, strontium and manganese are among the hazardous chemicals involved in the alleged contamination. John Nicholas, who oversees Marcellus development for Southwestern, told The Associated Press that the well is mechanically sound and that there’s no evidence its drilling operations have harmed water supplies. The suit seeks the permanent abatement of all natural gas drilling and production activities at the Price No. 1 Well pad. It further seeks monetary compensation for the costs of remedying environmental damage allegedly caused by contaminants, decline in property value, medical costs, detriment of quality of life and emotional distress, as well as punitive damages for negligence and legal fees. The suit was filed in the Susquehanna County Court. Lenox Township is located roughly 10 miles east of Dimock, the Susquehanna County community that captured national attention in the debate over hydraulic fracturing after it was featured in the anti-drilling documentary, “Gasland.” |

Following is a true story about my car accident in France. I'm sharing it online in the hope that it will help others avoid the same problems I've had.
It was a foggy winter morning and I was driving my dog to the vet for an operation. As I went through a small village I saw a car coming towards me, partway over the centre line. I swerved to avoid a collision, but not far enough and our wing mirrors touched and shattered. We both stopped and I walked over to the other car. Looking the other driver in the eye, in my best French I told him directly that I was driving in my lane. He accepted responsibility and admitted that he was too far to the left. Cautious that he might change his mind and later deny it, I got a piece of paper and a pen from my car and had him write this out, then sign and date it. I got his details and the details of his insurance company and then continued on my way. It was a Friday and it was late evening by the time I returned home. My insurance company was closed for the day and of course for the weekend, so I could not contact them until Monday. On Monday the person I normally spoke to (the only person in the office who understood English) was out and did not return until Tuesday. We spoke on Tuesday and I faxed him all the information. My insurance company sent the other insurance company a letter but received no response. After a couple of weeks (and my phone calls) they sent another letter to the insurance company and also to the other driver and still received no response. Feeling that this was going nowhere, I phoned up the other driver and asked him why he did not reply to the letter from the insurance company. The conversation lasted about 10 minutes (mainly due to my ranting in unbelieving anger and him justifying his position) but could be summarised as following: Me: Why haven't you answered the letter from the insurance company? Him: I've been told by my insurance company not to reply. Me: Why? Him: Because the official car accident form was not completed within 24 hours. My insurance company tells me that as a result I have no legal responsibility and so they won't pay anything out. Me: But the accident was your fault and you admitted it! Him: Yes, but the form wasn't completed within 24 hours, so my insurance company won't pay. Me: Since the accident was your fault, you should pay. Him: If you had done the paperwork within 24 hours, my insurance company would have paid. I gave you all my contact details and if you had asked me I would even have gone to the police station and filled out the forms. It isn't my fault that none of this was done and that my insurance company won't pay out. I've done everything I was asked to do and if your insurance company hasn't progressed this properly it is their fault and they should pay. The conversation lasted about another 10 minutes but our positions didn't change. I felt that the car accident was his fault and I should not have to pay for the repairs to my car, while he maintained that the failure of my insurance company to progress the paperwork was not his fault and he shouldn't suffer financially for that. I went back to my insurance company, explained the conversation and they confirmed that the position of the other insurance company was legally correct. They also explained that I should always carry a car accident report form in my glove compartment and ensure that I shouldn't leave the scene of the accident without completing it. However, they offered to pay the amount and not affect my no-claims bonus. I felt that this was quite generous of them, since in fact the delay was due to me not contacting them on the day of the accident or completing the form. However, I still felt aggrieved by a sense of injustice and went to the police station to make a complaint. I explained the situation and showed them the signed statement of responsibility by the other driver. Unfortunately, they confirmed the position of the other driver's insurance company and said that there was nothing they could do for me. I was very fortunate in that the damage to my car was small and that my insurance company paid for it despite my bungling. However, I often wonder what would happen if it had been a serious accident, leaving me with substantial repair bills. I still feel a sense of injustice but I guess I got off lightly. In any case, I now know what to do in the case of an accident and hope that anyone reading this will not repeat my mistake. |

Anyone know of any good consignment shops? Do any of them take clothes to sell?? sorry brady, i don't know exactly from where you are looking for good consignment shops. But what i would like to share about consignment shops, Everyone, at one time, has bought clothing, handbags, or shoes that were “must-haves.” Then, as trends changed, we went with another brand, another style, or another color. The older one gets shoved to the back of the closet just taking up space. Well, consignment stores to the rescue. Most consignment stores will assess items when they are brought in and assign a selling price in their store of about one-third the original retail value. Then, when it sells, you receive anywhere from 35 percent to 50 percent of that sales price. The amount will either be in cash or in store credit depending on store policy. It sometimes takes patience and persistence, but advance research is well worth the effort. Every store has its own focus and personality. By knowing the rules ahead of time, more profit is made with less work. Consider the following suggestions. Basic Maintenance Before leaving home for the consignment store, carefully check the items. It is a fact that certain items are snapped up faster than others. Larger sizes generally move quickly, as well as trendy or stylish items. To get the best prices, however, be sure to check the condition of the clothing. Consignment stores generally do not accept items that are torn, dirty, or heavily worn. Minor improvements can have a big impact on the amount assigned value. Wash or dry clean the item, iron or steam out wrinkles, and replace any missing buttons. Check the hems and other seams for damage. Marketing Seasons Heavy coats will not sell in late spring when people are looking for summer clothes. Swimsuits will not sell as well in late fall. Quick turnarounds equal higher returns for both the store and the clothing owner. Consignment stores have policies for how long they will keep an item before donating it to charity. If it goes to charity, you receive nothing. A little research ahead of time will prevent a zero-dollar return. Store Policies Check to see if appointments are required or simply drop off anytime. Do you receive cash or store credit? Do they want clothes on hangers or just folded? Know ahead of time what their expectations are to avoid surprises at the store. |

A local United Way office realized that the organization had never received a donation from the town's most successful lawyer. The person in charge of contributions called him to persuade him to contribute. "Our research shows that out of a yearly income of at least $500,000, you give not a penny to charity. Wouldn't you like to give back to the community in some way?" The lawyer mulled this over for a moment and replied, "First, did your research also show that my mother is dying after a long illness, and has medical bills that are several times her annual income?" Embarrassed, the United Way rep mumbled, "Um ... no." The lawyer interrupts, "or that my brother, a disabled veteran, is blind and confined to a wheelchair?" The stricken United Way rep began to stammer out an apology, but was interrupted again. "or that my sister's husband died in a traffic accident," the lawyer's voice rising in indignation, "leaving her penniless with three children?!" The humiliated United Way rep, completely beaten, said simply, "I had no idea..." On a roll, the lawyer cut him off once again, "So if I don't give any money to them, why should I give any to you?" _______________________________________________________________________________________ ![]() training shoes lebron 9 shoes orion blue jordan 2011 q flight shoes jordan take flight midnight navy shoes |
